The BBA department at DSCASC conducted Project Viva Voce and Fieldwork for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students in accordance with Bangalore University norms. The session aimed to give 1st-year BBA students a clear understanding of the systematic process of accounting and its practical applications in business.
Dr. Karthik discussed the fundamental concepts of the accounting cycle, including identifying and recording business transactions, posting entries to the ledger,
preparing trial balance, making adjustments, and the preparation of final accounts. He also highlighted the importance of accuracy, consistency, and ethical
practices in accounting. Through practical examples, he explained how accounting information supports managerial decision-making and financial reporting.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students clarified their doubts about journal entries and closing accounts."
