Cybercrime in the Digital Era: Threats, Attacks and Security Measures

To create awareness and strengthen understanding of cybersecurity, Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science and Commerce, IQAC, Department of Computer Applications – BCA, in association with COE – Cyber Security, is organizing a seminar on “Cybercrime in the Digital Era: Threats, Attacks and Security Measures” on 11-09-2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for V sem students.

Workshop on Advanced machine learning concepts

The Department of Computer Applications-BCA conducting a Workshop on Advanced machine learning concepts for VI sem Students on 23rd April 2026. This workshop is a practical learning facility where students gain hands-on experience with various machining processes and tools used in manufacturing and fabrication. The workshop focuses on developing technical skills, safety awareness, and an understanding of machine operations.

Bridge Course Schedule - July 2026

The Department of Computer Applications is organizing Bridge Course Classes for first-semester BCA students to felicitate smooth transition from school education to undergraduate studies by strengthening foundational knowledge, developing essential academic skills, and preparing them for the demands of higher education.

From Code to Clarity: An Introduction to a Career in Technical Writing

The Language and Literary Unit – AKSHARA, Department of Computer Applications (BCA), Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science & Commerce, organized an International Guest Talk on "From Code to Clarity: An Introduction to a Career in Technical Writing" on 6 August 2026 in the Seminar Hall, Building No. 17. The session was delivered by Ms. Usha Mandya, Senior Manager, Technical Writing at Docker, Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. She provided valuable insights into technical writing, career opportunities, essential skills, industry expectations, and emerging trends in the field.

Data Analytics

Department of Computer Applications-BCA conducted a seminar on Employability Skills required for Data Analytics. Mr. Maheshwaran Narayanan, Assistant Vice president , Imarticus Learning briefed about the skills required to be a Data analyst.

Practical AI Usage

Department of Computer Applications-BCA in Association with COE- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is conducting an International Guest Talk on Practical AI usage in organization on 7/8/2026 at 10:00 AM.

The Department of Computer Applications-BCA in association with COE-Data science and Artificial Intelligence and Alumni Unit conducting a Guest Talk on "From tokens to Agents:Training a small language model from scratch on 07/09/2026 at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for 3rd semester students.

Placement Orientation for BCA students was conducted for the year 2019-20.
