Faculty Development Program on "Full Stack Web Development"

Summary:Department of Computer Applications – BCA conducted Faculty Development program. Hemanth Uppala, Vice Principal and HOD - BCA program, welcomed the resource persons Mr. Naman and Ms.Nishika Tiku along with Faculty members of Computer Applications and CS Engineering department. The FDP was a 2-day long hands on training for the faculty members to get them a good understanding of the end-to-end process of building an application from scratch using the below technologies and give them a clear picture of all the aspects of web development including front end and backend development.

Faculty Development Program – Soft Skill for Teachers

Summary: In association with CIL, Department of BCA has conducted a 2-day Faculty Development Program for the faculty of DSCASC. This program has been specially designed to build skills like communication skills, interpersonal skills, team building skills, empathy etc., in faculty. Day 1 started with the speaker Ms.Keerthi Chalakaran greeting the faculty with enthusiasm and explained the 3Es and 3Cs. 3Es are Education, Environment and Experience.3 Cs are Coordination, Cooperation and Communication. She emphasized the importance of the above qualities. Later she conducted a balloo activity for the faculty and through the activity she explained the importance of listening skills.

Summary:E-Quiz was organized by Student Grievance redressal Cell, Department of Computer Applications, on the topic of Self Awareness. The quiz was conducted for first semester BCA students. In this quiz, we've included a series of multiple choice questions designed to help how much self aware are they in some situations they arise. This research indicates that when we look inward, we can clarify our values, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses.

He gave 3rd-semester students a detailed look into the world of visual design careers and tips for interviews. The session helped students understand what's important in the field and gave them useful tips for interviews, making sure they are ready for the next steps in their visual design careers.

Summary:The Department of DSCASC celebrated “Kannada Rajyostava” on November 25, 2023 with great enthusiasm. The event had a great start with the events like Singing, Rangoli Competition and Essay writing on On 22th November .The prizes were distributed for winners and Runners by giving the certificates and Trophies to them on 25 th November. Even Felicitation was done for principal, Vice Principal and Hod’s of various departments. Programmes like Nada Geethe and Dances was performed by BCA, BCom and BBA students. Good response from the BCA students who attended the session. Overall the entire event was a great success.

Pot Painting

Summary:The department of BCA conducted a Pot painting competition under student activity cell-SANCHALANA. It was an event where the students had to paint the earthen pot. The themes were decided by the students where the participants came up with the diverse state of mind and painted the pots very artistically. This event helped them to enhance their creative skills and talent. The students enjoyed and did the artwork very enthusiastically. This activity will surely boost their confidence, creativity and interest in art. The judgement panel decided the prizes to the participants.

Summary:Student Activity Cell – SANCHALANA conducted a Rangoli competition for I sem students. The Moto of the completion is to bring the traditional value among the students. The Orientation Program on Anti Ragging was held on 02 Aug 2023 in Dr Prem Chandra Sagar Auditorium, DSI Campus. The lecture was delivered by Vice Principal of DSCASC Prof. Hemanth Uppala to the Students of BCA First Year. Prof. Hemanth Uppala in his address to the students spoke about the origin and menace of Ragging in India and the different spheres to it. He also explained the legal consequences of involvement in such activities. Automata are used as finite representations of formal languages that may be infinite.
