Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science & Commerce, organized “Guest Talk” under the guidance of Gandhi Study Centre and IQAC on 29th September 2025 in the college premises. The speaker discussed Gandhi’s unwavering opposition to violence and his inclusive concept of nationalism as powerful counter-narratives to today's global conflicts and aggressive nationalistic tendencies. The talk highlighted the continued relevance of Gandhian thought in navigating the complex realities of the 21st century.
The speaker drew a stark contrast between Gandhi’s inclusive nationalism and the aggressive, expansionist nationalism prevalent in the early 20th century and today. Gandhi’s nationalism aimed for internal emancipation and harmony, not the domination or exploitation of other nations. This program was a resounding success.

To celebrate the 155th birth anniversary of a champion of freedom and patriotism, DSCASC presented
"The Great Mahatma". Young achievers gathered with enthusiasm to pay tribute to "Father of our Nation".
During his address to B.Com, BBA and MBA students, Principal Dr. Balu I, emphasized
Gandhi's famous words, "Be the change you want to see in the world". The event feature
a program that highlighted Gandhi's historic struggles and sacrifices, with guest Dr. Shashikala N.
inspiring the audience.

“Gandhi Atmacaritare Nanna Satyaanvesane”
The Gandhi Study Centre, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an event titled "Gandhi Biography" on 13th May 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Umesh M. R., Head of the Gandhi Study Centre, and aimed to educate students on the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. Around 32 students participated in the event, which included an engaging presentation and interactive discussion. The program highlighted Gandhi's values of non-violence, truth, and leadership, encouraging students to reflect on their relevance in today's world.
