    Prof V.     HR Club - YUKTHI conducted an event UNICUS on 31 December 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM for Students of BBA and B Com. It was an introduction session for students of HR club, where the activities like 'Human knot and Two Truth and One Lie' were conducted for the members of the club.   • Paper Bag making

    Paper Bag making organized by BBA/B.Com Department of DSCASC from Eco Cell (PRAKRUTHI) and ISR Cell (DISHAA) on the theme “Say no to Plastic”. This event was organized by BBA/B.Com Department of DSCASC. The faculties Coordinator’s for the event were Prof.Ashwini Basavaraju, Prof.Anitha.A from ECO Cell (Prakruthi) and Prof.Shalini Kumari Rawani from ISR Cell (Dishaa) in association with IQAC. The Paper bags of 2,000 numbers were made by the 20 student volunteers of the cell from 13th December to 16th December 2021 and were distributed to the small street vendors and some medicals on 21st December 2021 in Kumarswamy layout with the awareness drive ‘say no to plastic’ and use of eco friendly paper bags.

    Department of Commerce and Management (UG)- BBA/B. Com conducted Sports Events for the Even semester from 02NDAUG 2021 to 06th AUG 2021. One eighty two students were took part in various sports like Carrom, Chess & Table tennis. For the benefit of the students the department had conducted sports activity under the guidance of Principal and HOD. It was a platform to show up their fitness and talent. The students were participated with commendable vigor and enthusiasm. The atmosphere was charged with zeal and fervor with the call for the opening rounds of Carrom & Chess.
    The days were filled with exciting victories. Finally, the entire college stood together, to appreciate the winners. The sports meet concluded with an inspiring and motivating speech by the Principal followed by a vote of thanks by the HOD.

    On 5th August 2021 at 2.00 pm Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Department of Commerce and Management in association with IQAC, Personal Counseling and Mentoring Cell- APTHAMITRA organized a Webinar session on “Techniques to overcome stress during Exam”. Event is organized by Prof.Rashmi.S, Prof.Usha C.R, Prof.Ms Niveditha K, Prof Deepika S.C & Prof Meghana.C . The webinar was conducted in online platform – Google meet and YouTube live streaming at 2.00 PM. The Webinar started with the Speaker Prof.K.G.Satheesh, Principal and secretary of Adithya Global Institute of Management, addressed the gathering of 156 Participant audiences from DSCASC. Speakers have addressed about; Stress is a normal reaction the body has when changes occur, resulting in physical, emotional and intellectual responses. Stress management training can help you deal with things in a healthier manner Have exams coming up? Sometimes the pressure you feel can help keep you focused, other times it can cause stress. So these tips to help the students to cope up with stress during exam time. Some signs of stress include, feeling confused, Losing touch with friends, feeling moody and low having trouble making decisions. The Session ended with Q&A.


  • “E-QUIZ on “Start up and New Venture Management”

    The E-Quiz was conducted on 30th July 2021 by the faculty coordinators Prof.Ashwini Basavaraju and Prof.Meghana C. The E-Quiz covered the topics Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Characteristic of entrepreneurship, start up procedure, requisite skills & knowledge for setting up and new venture management. The event was conducted by Entrepreneurship Cell and Incubation and Innovation Cell under IQAC. The event was conducted online platform through Google Form and the link of the E-Quiz was shared with BBA/BCOM students of DSCASC. The link was shared to the students through the Whatsapp group through the coordinators at 10.am and response was opened till 5.00pm. 69 participants participated in the quiz and e-certificates were given to every participant through respective e-mail I’d.


  • Webinar on “Career Planning and Preparing for Competitive Exams”

    On 30th July 2021 at 2.00 pm Competitive Exams Committee organized a Webinar on ‘Career Planning and Preparing for Competitive Exams’. The organizers of the Webinar were Prof.Ashwini Basavaraju & Prof.Vidhya Shree S Asst Professor. The webinar was conducted in online platform – Google meet and YouTube live streaming at 2.00 PM. The Webinar started with the Speaker Prof.Rajendra Kumar, Asst Professor, BBA/B.Com addressed the gathering of 35 Participant audiences from DSCASC. The webinar took off with an interactive session where the speaker engaged the participant through asking questions related to importance of Career Planning, choosing right career, tips for cracking competitive exam such as Banking competitive exams – IBPS PO exam, SBI PO Exam, RBI Grade B Exam, RRB Exam and SSC Combined graduate exams. The Speaker also highlighted even salary package of the various posts. The session ended with Q and A.

  • Business English Contest

    The Literary Club, under the guidance of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), conducted “E-Business English Contest” on 31st July 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It was aimed to evaluate specific business vocabulary and grammar. It also assessed the core soft skills and listening skill. 88 students took part and students who scored 60% and above received E-Certificate of participation. The event was coordinated by Prof. Mukesh Soni, Prof. Sangeetha Dayanand and Prof. Usha C R.

    This webinar was organized by BBA/B.Com Department of DSCASC. The faculty Co-ordinator for the event was Prof.Faseeha Begum from Equal Opportunity Cell (SAMANVAYA).The webinar was conducted on the topic ‘Equality and Diversity Policy for Unlawful Discrimination’. The Guest speaker of the event was Ms. Lakshmi A N Rao. Partner, Tapas law. The event was scheduled on 28- April 2021 at 11AM on Zoom platform, Google Registration Form and link was sent to the participants through whatsApp. Total 110 participants were actively participated in the event and E-Certificates were provided to all the participant through their e-mail Id which is automatically generated after the submission of feedback form.


  • Workshop on “Women Hygiene Awareness”

    On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Department of Commerce and Management under the guidance of IQAC, in association with Institutional Responsibility Cell – DISHAA and Women Dignity Cell – Shakti organised a workshop on Women Hygiene Awareness only for the female students and faculties on 8th March 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Zoom Platform and YouTube live streaming. Around 82 participants participated in the workshop. Ms. Ankita Sukhwal, CSR Executive of Unicharm India was the guest speaker for the workshop. The workshop began with a welcome address and speaker profile reading by Prof. Sneha. The session was then handed over to the speaker where, she spoke about the importance of menstrual health, hygiene and management every woman must follow to have healthy living. The workshop ended with a 15 minutes question and answer session and was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dikshitha Gujarkar.

    On 24th July 2020 at 11.00 am Management Club ‘Insight Hawks’ organized an International webinar in association with Anti-Sexual Harassment and Women Redressal Cell-‘Shakthi’ on ‘POSH-‘Speak for the Silenced’ where the Speaker Adv Raina Khatri Tandon CEO ‘Right 2Rise”, TEDx Speaker, POSH/POCSO Specialist and Human Right Expert, USA addressed the huge gathering of 388 participant audience from all over India and few of them from Philippines, Kuwait and Malaysia. The webinar took off with a interactive session where the speaker engaged the participant through asking questions related to how they would react to a an untoward behavior from any person who is makes them feel uncomfortable , she also highlighted certain gestures which are termed as harassment under POSH, certain cases were discussed to make the audience understand the concept precisely later few questions were asked to test whether the audience are able to identify what can be termed as activities or gestures that can be raised under POSH. The session ended with Q and A.
